Knit our Short Sleeved Dress and Sleeveless Dress suitable to fit a child from birth to 7 years old.

Design
The dresses have a lacy skirt design and moss stitch borders. The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and for the opening at the back. For the Sleeveless Dress, stitches are picked up to finish off the armhole edges.

Sizes
The pattern includes 6 sizes to fit Child: 0-6 mths, 6-12 mths, 1-2 yrs, 2-3 yrs, 4-5 yrs and 6-7 years old

Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
The picture shows the 6-12 months size knitted using Rico Baby Dream DK Uni in shade Pink (003) for Short Sleeved Dress and Grey (017) for the Sleeveless Dress

Tension
22 sts and 28 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements
3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) buttons for each dress
