Two Easy One Piece Cushion Covers
This pattern will show you how to make two different easy-to-knit, one-piece cushion covers.
Envelope Cushion Cover
This cushion cover features a top flap with a contrast garter stitch edge. I’ve provided some embellishment ideas to make your cushion cover more interesting. There’s also a tutorial that shows you how to create motifs that are similar to intarsia (picture knitting), without the hassles of intarsia!
Cushion Cover with Button Fastening
This cushion cover features two ribbed bands that are fastened together using buttons and buttonholes. You decide where you want to place the cushion cover opening – one third, half, or three quarters down the cushion cover – or wherever you want the cushion cover opening to appear :-). There are four button / buttonhole configurations to choose from. I’ve also included several self-cover button designs that you can use to brighten up your cushion cover.
Sizing
The cushion covers are designed for a 40 x 40 cm (16 x 16 in) cushion inner. However, some cushion inners are quite flat, while others are very plump. So it’s important to measure across the fullest part of your cushion inner both horizontally and vertically, and to choose the size below that is closest to the measurements you’ve taken.
