Two Hearts Shorties were designed for sleeping or keeping feet warm and cozy at home.
This design combines simple vanilla style ankle socks with an accent on two symmetrically placed delicate lace hearts.
Socks are worked cuff down seamlessly in the round with afterthought heel.
Holding together a strand of DK yarn and mohair, makes these short socks such a quick project which is perfect for making as a gift or just for relaxing knitting.

Socks intend to be worn with approx 2 cm/ 0.8’’ of negative ease around foot.
Please choose your size according to foot circumference. Length of socks is easily adjustable.

Needles
Circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5) 80 or 100cm (32 or 40’’) long for magic loop method or set of dpns;
Or needle size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: tapestry needle, stitch markers, scrap yarn.

Original yarn
1 ball or 40-50 g of Novita Nalle (75% wool, 25% polyamide; 100g /3.5oz - 260m /284 yds);
Held together with 1 ball or 10-15 g BBB Soft Dream (70% mohair, 30% silk; 25g /0.9oz - 225m /246 yds).
Yardage: approx 105-130 m / 115-142 yds - for women foot size US 5-10 (Euro 36-43) UK 3.5-8.5;
Suggested yarn: any DK/sport weight yarn held together with a mohair lace weight yarn.

Gauge
24 sts x 32 rnds = 4”/ 10cm over Stockinette stitch in the rnd on 3 mm (US 2.5) needles after blocking.
Gauge is critical for this project, please take time to check your gauge before starting your project.
