This easy 2-needle mitten pattern is knit flat and then seamed, no need for double-pointed needles! Because the thumb is anatomically off-center, these mittens are knit with the thumb gusset off-center with a separate right and left mitten. This puts the resulting side seam at the side of the hand where it is not so annoying and less visible. The optional crochet embellishing jazzes things up and acts as a reminder as to which is the right and left mitten. Other embellishing options – needle felting, beading, or embroidery.

SKILLS USED: Basics, simple shaping, seaming, optional crochet chain.

SIZES: Child small 2-6 years, (Child large or adult small / adult medium / adult large).

FINISHED CIRCUMFERENCE: 6.5” (7.5” / 8” / 9”)
