The Two of Hearts Beanie is a quick to knit up hat that makes a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day or to show your love for all things winter.

This hat has an easy double heart motif that is repeated three times around the Beanie and is worked up using stranded colourwork. Knitting techniques used are: knit and purl stitches worked in the round, stranded colourwork and decreasing stitches. You will need US11 (8.0mm) and US15 (10.0mm) 16” circular needles, 2 different colours/balls of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn, yarn needle, stitch marker and a stitch counter would be helpful to keep track of rounds.

The pattern includes a graph outlining the colourwork for the hat in addition to detailed written instructions.

The pattern as written will result in a hat that fits most pre-teen through to adult women’s heads. The finished hat measures approximately 9” in length and an unstretched band circumference of 17” when using suggested yarn and following stitch gauge outlined in the pattern.
