Special stitches are used to make the hearts look raised from the background. The hearts are made using a raised stitch called Front Post Double Crochet and Back Post Double Crochet. The hearts are set on a background of single crochet which allows the raised stitches on the hearts to pop even more!Each stripe is made, sewn together and then the boarder added.

Finished size: of Pink Raised Hearts Afghan is 40” X 41” and you will need 3 (5 oz) skeins Bernat Softee Baby yarn in Pale Pink and 4 (5 oz) skeins in White and Size F hook or hook.

Finished size of Stripes Hearts Afghan is: 40” X 50”and you will need 1 skein Bernat Baby Softee yarn in Lavender and Pink, 3 skeins in White and Size F crochet hook.
