Two Scoops, One Spoon
At Least You Don’t Have to Order Rocky Road Anymore - You’re Living It…
Created to celebrate National Ice Cream Day - this pattern is was written as part of a kit from Despondent Dyes.
This delightful tam has a little bit of everything: corrugated ribbing; stranded colorwork; lace; slipped stitches; knitting in the round; and increasing and decreasing. It’s like a tiny sampler of so many knitting techniques - an easy way to learn as none of it is enough to be intimidating!
The two hats pictured were knit by two different people (maybe they swatched, maybe they didn’t) but the resulting hats look the same, but fit two different sized heads. I guess all this is to say that while the pattern is written for just one size, changes in gauge can get you a different size…
The kit includes approximately 33 grams each of three colors of Vintage Vixen a sport weight yarn by Despondent Dyes. Also included is a pre-made pompom and a leatherette tag.
