This basketweave blanket can be worn as a scarf or used a lap blanket or throw for a single bed.

By using two tones the border is more appealing, it’s knitted while completing the main body of the blanket, with intarsia colour skills, so there is no need to add the border afterwards.

I realise that the suggested yarn is no longer available, but please note that this can be knitted with any chunky/bulky yarn. I chose to use a yarn with a looser spin, so the fabric has a tactile, softer finish.

A substitute yarn could be any single ply chunky yarns, found more often in skeins or hanks.
