Two-Way Rose Pin
Open-Petal Rose measures 2 3/4” diameter. Closed-Petal Rose measures 2 1/2” diameter. Leaf measures 1” wide x 1 1/4” long. Roses take 25 yds each and leaves take 5 yds for each pair. This is a great project for using up scraps of yarn! Use your favorite colors for the rose and leaves to coordinate with any outfit.
Do you have trouble rolling the petals on the typical crochet rose pattern? Have no fear! There is no rolling necessary to make this rose pin. The petals are crocheted onto a round, flat base instead of rolling them up. The rose can be made with open or closed petals depeding upon whether you crochet the petals from the center to the outer edge or from the outer edge to the center. Leaves and pinback are sewn to the wrong side of the rose to wear as a pin. These roses can also be sewn or pinned to any project you desire!
“Make each pin in 2 hours or less. Crochet this rose with either open or closed petals for a sweet ‘I love you’ gift for a dear friend.” (excerpt from Crochet! magazine).
