Two Worlds Colliding Shawl
Two Worlds Colliding Shawl
This shawl is knit flat with a right and wrong side. It contains a colourwork section using two contrasting colours of yarn.
Skill level
Intermediate (Please note that this pattern is not for beginners.)
It requires 2 x 100g skeins of Sock / Fingering weight yarn.
(Additional skein can be added to make the shawl bigger.)
Needle size
Between 3mm and 4mm (US 2.5 and 6) knitting needles
Needle size is dependent on your knitting tension and gauge - choose the size with which you will obtain a looser gauge as the shawl needs to have a good drape.
Pattern inspiration
The colourwork section gives the idea of countryside or life on a farm vs the big city. The first part represents mountains and fields and the second part represents skyscrapers.
The colourwork section is also where the two contrasting colours of yarn come together.
