A crocheted version of the very well-known knitted Fish Hat (Dead or Alive!), designed by Thelma Egberts: look for it here on Ravelry, and browse through more than 3000 projects for colour/striping ideas. Like the knit hat, this one uses short rows to give a fine fishy shape to the mouth, and it is a great way to use up similar-weight yarns from your stash in creating a unique stripey pattern! I used most one skein of the Marble, and small amounts of Patons Decor from my stash. It is very quick to work up, and would make a wonderful gift for the fisherfolk in your family.
