U Can't Touch This Scarf
This listing is for a PDF (instant-download) of the U Can’t Touch This Scarf Crochet Pattern, inspired by crunchy Cheetos and named after the MC Hammer song, which was featured in the 2020 Cheetos commercial.
Yarn used is hand dyed Merino wool in the Yarntuary colorway U Can’t Touch This. Like the snack, the yarn is dangerously cheesy and has light and dark areas of bright, cheesy orange goodness.
The pattern is easy to follow, beginner-friendly and contains clear, detailed instructions and pictures throughout. It also has a section at the end for more beginner crocheters containing step-by-step instructions and photos for each stitch used in the pattern!
Pattern repeats are easy to remember and with only one hank of sock weight yarn, you can make it in under 10 hours!
Pattern also contains specific instructions for how to make the scarf with 2 hanks of yarn AND even how to do super easy color changes if using two different colors! You don’t have to carry both colors throughout and you also won’t have a bunch of ends to weave in - only four!
The angled edges of the scarf are very pretty and pleasing to the eye. They almost remind me of mermaid tails. The scarf drapes around the neck beautifully and with ease.
Materials:
-1-2 hanks Yarntuary’s fingering weight/sock yarn; color U Can’t Touch This (100% merino wool, 399 yd, 100 g). Other color shown in striped scarf is Salt and Shadow.
-Size D (3.0 mm) and E (3.5 mm) crochet hooks
-Tapestry needle and scissors
-Optional: knit blockers to pin ends in place when laying flat to dry after wet blocking
It is super easy to use this pattern with ANY YARN you would like!
The level of this pattern is beginner to advanced beginner, but is fun to work up no matter your experience level!
