Ulla's Scarf
This lacy scarf was inspired by a shawl from my Estonian lace collection. The lace pattern is made up of familiar lace techniques with the addition of the classic Estonian nupp (“button,” “bud,” or “knob”) to create the lily flowers. The scarf is named for my dear friend Ulla Kaljurand, who, along with her daughter, took me to Haapsalu for the first time and has supported my interest in Haapsalu lace knitting for years.
