Lola decided that squishy mitts fit the bill for fulfilling an elusive flavor profile in our knitting wardrobe! Umami means savory in Japanese, and these Fisherman’s Rib fingerless mitts are savory indeed. Fisherman’s Rib is worked in the round and combined with a lace panel traveling up the back of the hand. Umami Mitts are knit with a hearty lightweight yarn from John Arbon in the UK, making a pair of mitts that will be worn for years.
