The rainbow family is growing :) Un grand arc-en-ciel is a sweet, simple (yet a little bit magical) sweater for the big girls who would want to taste the super powers of the rainbow!

CONSTRUCTION
This circular-yoke sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. First some short rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the striped rounded yoke is knitted top down to sleeve separation. (To a better visualization of the striped yoke part, charts are offers for each size).
Sleeve sts are placed on hold to work the body first down to the hem. Then sleeves sts are worked top down to end.
If you don’t feel comfortable knitting in the round on small diameters, you’ll find another detailed method: once you’re done with the yoke, work the sleeves flat, then sew them before knitting the rest of the body.

SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL).
Bust circumference of the finished garment: approximatively 85.5 (91.5, 97.5, 104.5, 114, 118.5, 128.5) cm / 33.6” (36”, 38.4”, 41.1”, 44.9”, 46.6”, 50.6”).

GAUGE
18 sts and 25 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in St st using US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.
Take time to make sure you obtain the right gauge (especially the same stitches number, you will be able to adapt the length if the round number is different) and switch to another needle size if needed.

YARN
3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins of Gilliatt De Rerum Natura « poivre et sel » (carded merino, 274 yds (250 m) /100 g) and one Gilliatt colour kit « arc-en-ciel ».
Or approximatively 750 (825, 980, 1050, 1125, 1200, 1500) m / 821 (903, 1072, 1149, 1231, 1313, 1641) yds of worsted yarn to obtain the same gauge and 9 x 6 m (9 x 6.7 yds) of matching colours.

MATERIALS
/ US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle (or needle size to obtain gauge)
/ US 6 (4 mm) circular needle (or smaller needle size to the one used to obtain gauge)
/ Double pointed needles of both sizes (or circular needles using the magic loop method)
/ Stitch markers, stitches holders or scrap yarn, darning needle.

La famille arc-en-ciel s’agrandit :) Voici un joli pull tout simple mais un peu magique quand même pour les grandes filles qui auraient envie de goûter aux super-pouvoirs de l’arc-en-ciel!

NOTES DE CONSTRUCTION
Ce modèle se tricote sans couture en commençant par l’encolure. Celle-ci est creusée devant par des rangs raccourcis placés avant les rayures de l’empiècement. Les augmentations sont réparties régulièrement pour créer un empiècement circulaire. Un diagramme est décliné pour chaque taille pour visualiser simplement les tours d’ augmentations et l’alternance des rayures. Une fois l’empiècement terminé, on poursuit en tricotant le bas du corps puis les manches en rond.
Si vous souhaitez éviter de tricoter en rond sur de petits diamètres, une autre méthode est détaillée pour vous permettre de tricoter d’abord les manches à plat, de les coudre, puis de poursuivre en tricotant le bas du corps.
