Unadorned - Fingering
Beautiful hand dyed yarn should take centre stage; not be over shadowed by an intricate pattern. Unadorned provides exactly this – a blank canvas, designed specifically for using the magical gradient-style dyed yarns
Unadorned - Fingering comes written in 16 sizes (from small newborn to approximately 10 years of age), and is written for 4ply/Fingering weight yarn.
CONSTRUCTION
Unadorned - Fingering has you cast on at the neckline, and work flat forming a shallow garter neck line, before working until you reach the required chest size. From here the cropped sleeves are cast off before moving to the plain stocking stitch body. This pattern has been designed to showcase gradient style dyed yarns.
There are only 2 ends to sew in…your cast on tail and cast off tail!
SKILLS REQUIRED
backwards loop cast on (for under the arms)
long tail cast on
short rows in garter stitch
working top down raglan construction
working with 2 different sized needles at the same time (wrangling an octopus!)
If you are not familiar with these techniques you may need to reference a knitting guide book, or view videos on the internet. Please note, octopus wrangling is my own special technique which is explained within the pattern.
