Unchained Socks are a fun pattern for 3 sock yarns in contrasting colours. The single colour sole and mosaic instep are worked separately (NO intarsia!) and they are much easier to work than they look.

The colourwork is mosaic, i.e. you are always working with just one colour.

You can use either long circular needle for magic loop method or DPNs, the pattern can be worked with either types of needles.

The socks are worked toe up.

Techniques: Knit & purl, slipped stitches, working small circumference in the round, picking up stitches, increases, decreases.
