Uncle hat
A hat designed for the uncles in your life; whether they are true relatives or just those kindly and benevolent souls who warm the cockles of your heart. This one is super cosy and deeply textured with a custom-designed stitch pattern; a real hug for the head. As always I have taken the trouble to make good-looking crown decreases.
Pattern contains full written and charted instructions for the main pattern and crown decreases.
The pattern is also available as part of The hat family ebook, a collection of hats for the whole family.
Yarn choices
This one is designed for true Aran yarns and my sample is in the Woolyknit yarn. Wool or wool mixes should be fine, as should acrylic yarns. This pattern plays very nicely with colour changing yarns - both those with long and short repeats. It would also look good in stripes.
