This is a crochet pattern of Uncle Sam and the Bald Eagle.

This pattern was inspired by Amour Fou Crochet. Permission has been granted by Carla Mitrani, the designer of the original Amour Fou patterns.

Skill level: Easy-Intermediate. The detailed instructions also include pictures and written and video tutorials, so even beginners should be able to follow along. (To give you some perspective, I started learning how to crochet in Fall 2020.) Some techniques include magic ring, single crochet, increase and decrease stitches, color change, crochet in rounds and rows, half double crochet, double crochet.

Your finished doll is approx. 22 - 23 cm in height (with a 2.50 - 3.00 mm crochet hook).

Required materials: Color yarn, safety eyes (8 mm for Uncle Sam, 5 mm for Bald Eagle), polyester filling. Optional materials: Color embroidery yarn

Uncle Sam is an allegorical American cultural icon that stands for America’s bravery and strength. Uncle Sam campaigns were also known for military recruitment with poster boards of “I Want You”. Along with Uncle Sam is its proud partner, the American Bald Eagle.
