Uncommon Beauty Cowl
When I first put these yarn colours together I thought that they didn’t work together, but I had a feeling that they needed to be together. Eventually, one day as I was squishing these skeins, I stumbled upon a combination that just worked and I knew that they were destined to be a cowl.
Combined this way, the colours have a beauty that they don’t otherwise have individually. Each has been created using natural dyes and they are constantly revealing to me another depth or shade. The cowl stitches are no different.
The body of this cowl is crocheted in linen stitch and this is framed by a top and bottom border of double crochet. When viewed on different sides, at different angles and in differing light the stitches reveal different patterns and textures.
This cowl is a fascinating combination of colours and textures. It was a beauty that was not expected, that is not common, but it shines beautifully like nothing else. As you are crocheting allow the yarns and stitches to reveal themselves to you. Immerse yourself in them and see their uncommon beauty.
