Everyone should have a silk scarf in their wardrobe. Here is a beautiful lace scarf to knit in your favourite silk yarn.

The scarf is rectangular. 171 cm / 34 cm on the blocking mat. It can easily be enlarged by adding repeats. So you can make it as wide or as long you want. Yardage will then increase. Patterning is on both right side rows and wrong side rows. It starts with a provisional cast on and ends on both sides with a picot bind off.

This scarf has a gothic feel to it. The picot bind off resembles crockets that were used as a decorative element in Gothic architecture. The name of the pattern came to me when I imagined a secret meeting at night by the old church. “Let’s meet Under the Gargoyle”

Thanks to my wonderful test knitters :)
