Under the Moon
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004).
The fourth design from the “Mivo Theory Collection” is here. “Under the Moon” is an unorthodox striped shawl. Two sides of simple garter stripes and a little bit of stripes within the eyelet sections add some depth of the two colors. You will enjoy how the two colors that you choose for this shawl play out in this design.
My two colors played how moonlight shines in the night sky. I feel Mino (aka “Mivo”) talking to me with his smile and chuckles, as in the various patterns of moonlight. I find myself under the shining moon in the vast night sky.

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU to meet Mino.
