7. Finished item measures: a Octopus: approximately 5” tall X 10” wide b Lovey Blanket: approximately 13.5” X 13.5” (34.5 CM X 34.5 CM)
8. Gauge: a Octopus: 10 rows = 2”; 10 stitches = 2” b Lovey Blanket: 8 Rows of 3DC shells = 4”; 4 groups of 3DC shells = 4” (at row 5 you should have a square that measures 4” X 4”)
9. Chains do not count in stitch count, unless otherwise noted
10. Numbers in Parentheses at end of rounds indicate total stitch count for round
