This is ONE pattern with variations on the hair finishing/attachment, and a color change mod on the body, to allow you to make both a girl mermaid and boy merman doll from the same pattern. It also includes instructions for removable goggles. You can customize the doll to suit the personality or look of your own special little one!! The variations on the hairstyles are shown in the additional photos on this page.

This pattern works up dolls approximately 11” (28cm) long. It is in English and uses US Standard terms. It includes photo tutorials, detailed instructions, and grants permission to sell the finished dolls.

You will need the following:

4mm/G Crochet hook
Medium Worsted Weight yarn in the following colors: Skin color, Hair color, Tail color, Black yarn or embroidery thread for lashes and brows
Black and white thread
8mm safety eyes,
White felt, Black felt, Eye Color felt
Sewing needle, Scissors, Polyfill Stuffing and a Stitch Marker. If you do not have felt, you can crochet circles for the eyes.

Gauge is not essential to this project but be sure that your hook size and tension creates a fabric without holes. You can use a 3.75mm or smaller but this may result in a smaller doll.
