Underwater Garden
For detailed information about measurements of the finished shawls, yarn amounts needed for different sizes etc. please download the first two pages of the pattern: preview pages. The pattern is fully written out and charted.
Underwated Garden is the fourth pattern from the Inner Gardens e-book.
The Underwater Garden can be draped over your shoulders or worn around your neck as a wide scarf. The refection of trees grown in the cable and buds pattern is combined with a dash of lace to make this shawl one of its kind - elegant, dreamy and cosy.
The shawl is worked top down, including the part where short rows shape the shawl. According to the pattern you can work an S or M size shawl using DK weight and an M or L size using Aran weight. For best results, choose single-ply or other round yarn in solid or semi-solid color.
The yarn suggestions are based on the recommendations of test knitters who worked shawls from these yarns. Photos of the sample shawl courtesy of Antal Szentendrei.
