Pencil Box Super Moon

This design uses German short rows for the shaping of the undulations (curves). They are explained in these instructions, however if you are a visual learner, you may find it useful to watch an instructional video (there are several on YouTube). If you have never done them, don’t worry - they are not difficult.

There are basically only three different rows that make up the shapes in this design. Once you understand the construction of them, you can make your undulations in different combinations for variations on the theme. It might be fun to have several of these cushions, all slightly different.

This design uses nine of the ten skeins included in a Pencil Box. There are notes at the end of these instructions for incorporating all ten colours in your pillow. For the pictured version, choose nine of the ten skeins and arrange them in an order that you like, with an eye to maximum contrast between neighbouring stripes.
