This was designed as a baby blanket with cables worked in Intarsia. It could be expanded to a larger blanket by changing yarns or increasing the number of cables and pattern repeats. The cable is slightly irregular.

For the baby blanket size, the pattern requires 5 full balls of DK yarn for the background color and approximately half a ball each of 5 additional colors. It could also be done in a single color which would require approximately 7 full balls.

Optional items include 5 stitch markers and a cable needle. Charts are provided for the cable pattern, the color layout, and the hem texture.
