He was going to be a baby orc, troll or ogre but the pattern dictated itself and wanted to be a grown up. There was some debate to whether he was really a troll or an ogre after looking up the history of trolls and ogres. They all have too many similarities so I ultimately decided that he was going to be an ogre.

Ungawa is part of a fantasy creature series that I have in mind, the first being Baby Goblin. The body looks complicated at first though it’s actually very simple. There are a few advanced stitches but nothing too fancy.

The pattern for Ungawa includes:

• Club accessory which can be converted to a chicken leg through simple color change
• Written in table format
• Helpful diagrams and charts
• Photos of finished Ungawa for reference

This is my first advanced pattern. Stitches used for the pattern are single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip stitch and sparing use of popcorn stitch.
