I used lion brand pound of love for the unicorn pictured and a 4mm hook.However this pattern works up well in a range of different yarns.You can use any worsted 4/ aran weight, worsted 3/ dk weight, or worsted 2.
The pattern is fairly easy,even for the novice crocheter.
