RECENTLY ADDED: Now including baby sizes and adult sizes!

This pattern is a quick knit and the hat is perfect for dress up, costumes, or as a toasty warm winter hat! The hat itself is worked flat, with a seam that will be covered up by the mane--in other words, it doesn’t have to look pretty! The horn and ears are worked separately and sewn to the finished hat. The mane (a great stash buster!) is attached at the end.

Sizes: Baby to Adult (3 separate pattern downloads)

NOTE: The pattern calls for size 6 needles for baby sizes, and size 7 for all other sizes.

Yarn:
150-200 yards of DK weight yarn for the hat
20 yards of worsted weight yarn for the horn
12 yards of scrap or bulky variegated yarn for the mane
