PATTERN FOR MINI UNICORN KEYCHAIN OR BAG CHARM
This pattern is for a small unicorn accessory that works perfectly as a keychain or bag charm.
TECHNIQUE:
The pattern is worked using a spiral amigurumi technique for all parts. Do not join rounds. The main body is worked as one sphere, with the addition of the ears, horn and flowers to complete. The eyes are then embroidered.
STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS (US TERMS):
MC - Magic Circle
Ch - Chain
Sc - single crochet
Inc - Work 2 sc into 1 stitch
Inv dec - Invisible decrease (this method gives a neater finish however sc2tog will work as affectively. There are plenty of tutorials online if you are not familiar with this inv dec technique and wish to learn it.)
MATERIALS:
I’ve created this pattern using Garnstudio Drops Muscat with a 3mm hook, however you can adjust the size of the finished item by adjusting your yarn and hook size accordingly. Using the same yarn and hook size I did results in an appropriate measurement of 7.5cm from the tip of the horn to the base.
Gauge is unimportant.
Small amounts of white, yellow, pink and purple yarn are required to make a unicorn of the size I made. In addition a short length of black embroidery thread is required for the eyes.
You are welcome to sell items made from this pattern, however please credit me (Crochet on the Coast) as the designer. Please also do not reproduce, share or distribute the pattern itself. Many thanks!
