There are days in a Midwest winter that require super warm mittens. Insulating warmth is created as the pattern’s slipped stitches are gathered up. It is fabric with depth that is a blast to work. We need mobility to hang onto the sled when we play outside so the mitten features a fitted thumb gusset. The ribbed cuff is accented with one slipped-stitch pattern on the thumb side of the hand. The pattern has both written and charted instructions. Step-by-step photo instructions for the slipped stitch are included in the Julie HART Designs Ravelry forum.
Thank you to Jennifer SpiritTrail at Spirit Trail Fiberworks for the beautiful yarn that inspired this design.
