This is a pattern to make a King or Queen crown, themed in the Union Jack red, white and blue for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022.

This pattern could also be made in the traditional gold, and would look fabulous with some gems sewn on!

You will need a head circumference measurement to make this crown.

Super chunky yarn is required. Gauge is not essential, as long as you are consistent.

Although this yarn asks for a 10mm crochet hook, we will use an 8mm one to make the crown stiff.

This piece is worked in a circle, with no sewing required at the end other than for the yarn tails.

Tools required: 8mm crochet hook, darning needle, and scissors.
