With the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee, Tash Bentley’s Union Jack Tea Cosy adds a touch of patriotism to the traditional English cup of tea. Simply crocheted in stripes of red, the elements of the flag are applied to a blue crocheted base before being edged with white crochet stitches.

Please note: the pattern as written adds the crocheted panel to a sewn and padded back to form the teacosy, an alturnative fully crocheted version could be to make a front and a back from crochet and crochet them together to form the cosy.
