This is a pattern to make an awareness ribbon themed in the Union Jack red, white and blue for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022.

This pattern works up very fast and is beginner-friendly as it only uses US single crochets and single crochet increases.

However, this ribbon can be worked in other colours to represent other events, countries, things, and as an awareness ribbon for a health condition.

Any weight of yarn can be used. Gauge is not essential, as long as you are consistent.

This piece is worked flat, using scraps of yarn. There are four rows in total, so four colours could be used.

This piece is crocheted flat and then secured into place with a single stitch at the end. Add a safety pin or a brooch pin to wear this ribbon.

Tools required: crochet hook, darning needle, scissors and a pin/brooch for the back.
