You can use different CC colours. It would also look nice with a self striping yarn, etc. Option for a slouchy hat is also provided. Many possibilities!

It is important to actually measure your child’s head and not only rely on the age labelling. Additionally, you might want to pick a size that is slightly smaller than actual head size (0.5-1” smaller is fine) for a perfect fit.

Gauge
20 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking
Note: For best accuracy, it is better to swatch in the round.

• MC: 30 (50, 70, 80//90, 120)
CC: 20 (25, 30, 40//50, 55)
yards of Worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ circular needle US # 7 (4.5 mm) or any size required to obtain gauge
• Double pointed needles US # 7 (4.5 mm) or same size as circular needle used.
