The Uno Reverse Beanie is named after the singular direction change that forms the basis for the design. By switching from right purl twists to lifted left twists, it creates a beautiful, textured sideways chevron design. This pattern uses my special lifted left twist technique, seen also in my Shifting Sisters pattern series. What’s great about the lifted left twist is that it’s smooth and quick, unlike a purl through back loop stitch usually used for left twists. If this is your first introduction to the lifted left twist, there is a photo tutorial at the end of the pattern. There are also links throughout the document to a Youtube video tutorial. If you love this pattern and would like to make a full set, there is a coordinating headband and cowl pattern!
