I didn’t use a full skein of yellow-I had one of those really really big ones and I didn’t put much of a dent in it.

You can use any basic hat base for this (adult woman is included), mainly I wanted to include the pattern for what I did for the embellishments.

My goal was to make a free unpsychotic looking giraffe hat. I hope I accomplished this in a way that others will be able to follow along…

UPDATE: I have added some notations for making the embellishments for a baby version of this hat. The embellishments are smaller so they work well with a smaller sized hat.
