Do you ever feel like everything around you is…unraveling? Bring some much- needed calm into your life by snuggling up with your favorite podcast and this cowl. Easy to knit and fun to wear, the Unraveling Podcowl will continue to delight you even after it’s off the needles. A simple lace stitch pattern pulls waves of yarn in opposite directions, creating an off-kilter ebb and flow. This effect, combined with a tonal fingering-weight yarn, causes the body of the cowl to feel like it can’t settle down. Eyelets on both the top and the bottom provide a foundation that brings order around the edges. Finally, as a reminder that you can control your knitting even when everything seems to be coming apart, a secret message is encoded at the bottom of the cowl. Share it or hide it—it’s up to you!
The instructions for knitting this cowl originally appeared as audio within episodes 127, 129, 131, 133, 135, and 136 of Unraveling …a knitting podcast.
BONUS: Included with this pattern is Knitting Daddy’s Morse Code Tutorial, a one-page tutorial for how to add a secret message to your knitting using Morse Code.
