A super chunky Beanie made from Jumbo yarn, worked in-the-round using Tunisian Crochet and finished with a faux fur bobble.

The fabric of the Beanie is very stretchy, and is more like it has been Knitted than Crocheted. This is because the Return yarn that was used when working in-the-round has been pulled out, leaving the Forward Pass stitches intact, creating a very stretchy and flexible structure.

Hence the name – Unravelled Beanie

SIZE
Circumference unstretched = 47cm/18.5 inches
Height unstretched = 15.75cm/6.25 inches

The fabric of the Beanie is very stretchy, and so the Beanie will fit a much larger head size than its corresponding measurements

MATERIALS
• 15mm Double Ended Tunisian Crochet Hook (or other size needed to obtain gauge)
• Approximately 27 yards of Jumbo Yarn (4 wraps per inch) for the Forward Pass (the yarn you want the hat to be made of) – I used Wulla Beta, 100g, 27 yards/25 meters, 75% Merino, 25% Cheviot
• Approximately 27 yards of Jumbo Yarn (4 wraps per inch) for the Return (the yarn you will be pulling out, and will be happy to wind up again after use) – I used a green Acrylic yarn I got from a charity shop, not sure what brand it is.
• Stitch Marker
• Yarn Needle
• Faux Fur or Handmade Bobble (optional)

Note = you can hold multiple strands together of thinner yarns to get a Jumbo yarn gauge.
