Untangle
This pattern features an undulating column of seed stitch, lace, and raised ribbing, which moves closer together and then moves back apart, reflecting from one side to the other. There are outer and central cables, spaced between the undulating columns by insets of seed stitch.
The pattern reminds me of flowing streams flanking seeded fields, very calming and evoking of nature… the kind of thing that helps one Untangle their thoughts.
It may be possible to knit the YOs as if they are m1L and m1R (whichever will follow the slant of the pattern where they occur) stitches on the next round, to close up the holes and make the sock more masculine.
The pattern:
- is written for toe-up or top-down either one.
- has a fairly easy pattern
- is a formula, and the knitter may apply their own favorite toe/heel/cast off. I have included an “Elegant Toe(c)” and a Welsh Heel, which are not mandatory. Plus there are pertinent links in case the knitter is unfamiliar with a different toe or heel technique.
- is written in 15 possible size/yarn weight combinations involving 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 64. and 72 stitches
- is both written and charted
