Until Forever Blanket
Designed to work as beautifully for a cherished new baby as for the most elegant living space, I hope that the Until Forever blanket finds a forever home in your knitting repertoire. Cabled diamonds dance across the surface, while the alternating stockinette stitch and garter stitch centers create just the right amount of visual interest. Garter stitch edges and ribbed borders ensure that the blanket lies flat. A solid or mostly solid color of yarn allows the texture of this design to take center stage.
The blanket is worked flat in one piece in an aran-weight (or heavy worsted) yarn. The carriage blanket size is shown, and the pattern includes 2 larger sizes. The cable panel patterns are written out and charted. For a custom-sized blanket, add or subtract 18-stitch repeats of the Main Cable Panel and work until the blanket is your desired length. For all sizes, to ensure that you have enough yarn, you may wish to (a) weigh your blanket after completing the bottom border and Lower Cable Panel; and (b) save a corresponding weight/yardage of yarn for the Upper Cable Panel and top border.
