The Until Next Time Wrap was designed with my love for autumnal leaves and foliage in mind.
When I was younger I was definitely a summer person, however as I have gotten older, I have realised that autumn is my time of year. It’s a time of peace for me and those vibrant leaves dancing in the breeze? Pure joy!

Autumn is like nature’s grand finale, reminding us that even as leaves bid farewell, they still dazzle with their colours, proving that beauty is hiding in every nook and cranny!
It will then repeat the following year… until next time.

I also wanted something that would work well with the 2024 Blue Fern Yarns Apothecary Advent colours. This large wrap uses 24 x 20g mini skeins of 4ply / sock yarn.

It features a simple but effective leaf lace section and a small garter break every few rows. The lace is worked up using stitch markers so that you only need to remember a small section of the pattern at a time. This is to make it easier to remember and work.

Materials/equipment
• Approx. of 1,920 meters of 4ply or sock yarn or 24 x 20g skeins (80 meters each).
• 3.5mm needles (or size needed for gauge)
• Progress keeper to mark the front of your work (optional)
• 13 x Stitch Markers
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors
• your preferred blocking equipment

Gauge should be in stocking stitch, worked flat (in rows) and should be blocked.

Blocked: 28 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inch square (10 cm square).

Finished shawl Size is approximately 18.5 Inches by 89 inches. (47 cm by 226 cm).

Note: It is not a requirement to get gauge for this pattern. If you are happy with the fabric you are creating, and in the right area, carry on. Just be aware your shawl may end up a different size and your meterage requirement will change.
