This colourwork pattern may look complicated, yet deceptively easy to work up. Your floats are never longer than 3 stitches making this an easier intermediate knitting project to try some colourwork.

The charts provided are large adding to the approachability of this pattern.

An alternate ending is provided for those who don’t like grafting and need a happy ending. Start with a 3X3 rib and continue after the colourwork with a 3X3 rib. Secure with a kilt pin after wrapping around twice.

mYak’s Tibetan Cloud provides beautiful background colours to Spincycle’s riot of colour. Two full skeins of Spincycle are used for 34” long cowl, and approximately 1 and a third of a second skein of Tibetan Cloud is used. If you decide to make your cowl/scarf longer you will need to add additional skeins of both yarns. Extra length may be achieved by continuing to repeat the 56 row chart.
