We’re gonna start at the waist with a chain that is based on the Hip-measurement (The waist is usually smaller than the hip, so the skirt’s waist-line always needs to be big enough to slide through our hips).

We need to use a bigger hook (6.0mm) to work the chain before switching to the smaller one (5.0mm) for the rest of the skirt. This is because we don’t want our chain line to be stiff, and using bigger hook kinda adds a bit of stretch and makes it go easier.

This is a “made-to-measure” pattern, there will be NO given number of chains & stitches. I recommend you to keep counting these numbers on the piece you work on, so that the shape of your skirt would be nice & even.
