Which way is up? Although this pattern seems to grow from the brim to the crown, in fact it is knit sideways with just one colour per row, like all the other Hats in the Convergence collection. Clever short-row engineering ensures that these large chunks of solid colour don’t disrupt the mosaic technique.

Yarn A: 149 (170, 192, 213) yd/136 (156, 175, 195) m
Yarn B: 66 (76, 85, 94) yd/61 (69, 78, 86) m
45yd/41m for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in Garter St.
DK weight, plied yarn.
