Ups + Downs
This deceptively simple corner-to-corner crochet pattern is designed for ease and soothing repetition – the perfect accompaniment to evenings in front of the telly! It’s ideal for using yarn scraps, leftovers and mini skeins. The basic stitch pattern can be used to make other items, such as a scarf, wrap, cowl, or even a headband.
For a version of this pattern translated into US terminology; please purchase as normal and email me to request the US version.
For DK: - 5mm crochet hook
-
any DK weight yarn
-
Scissors and darning needle, to finish
-
You can use any weight yarn you like for this project, but it’s generally best to stick to the same yarn base, to avoid drastic changes in the yarn’s thickness (which can affect the finish of your work).
It’s entirely up to you, of course. For reference, the baby blanket from the photographs uses approximately 500g of yarn.
Please do not distribute this pattern. You are, however, welcome to sell your finished items. Thanks! I hope you enjoy using this tutorial.
