Uptown Cardigan
Simple as 1-2-3, this casual cardigan has lots of style to fit right in at the office, or dress up a pair of jeans.
The back and fronts are worked separately, the fronts in Box stitch and the back in stockinette with a lower border of Box stitch. There’s some simple shaping on the back to give the waist a bit of fit for a more flattering cardigan. The shoulders are shaped using short-rows, then joined using Three-Needle Bind-Off.
The sleeves are picked up along the sides of the body, and a shallow sleeve cap worked using short-rows, then working in k1, p1 rib to the cuff.
A single button finishes off the piece.
Worked in a wool/alpaca/linen blend yarn, this is a trans-seasonal cardigan you can grab year-round.
