Upwards is the second pattern of The Stripes Collection.

Upwards seems to reach for the sky, with a striking set of colour blocked stripes and a contrast “ladder” edging of garter stripes. The elongated triangle shawl combines stranded knitting and intarsia, which are both explained in detail in the pattern. That makes this an ideal project to stretch your skills. Madelinetosh Dandelion, a merino/linen blend, provides an incredible range of colours to play with.

There are no charts used in this pattern.

Fingering weight: Madelinetosh Dandelion; 90% merino wool, 10% fine linen; 297 m (325 yd)/83 g; colours Moonglow, Grasshopper and Deep

Yardages:
Colour 1, Moonglow = 376 m / 411 yd / 105 g / 1 1/3 skeins
Colour 2, Grasshopper = 254 m / 278 yd / 71 g / 1 skein
Colour 3, Deep = 82 m / 90 yd / 23 g / 1/3 skein

Needle
4 mm/US#6 circular needle, 100 cm (40 in) or longer

GAUGE
22 stitches and 38 rows = 10 cm (4 in)
In pattern (see below)
4 mm/US#6 needle

STITCH PATTERN
Row 1 (right side): Knit
Row 2 (wrong side): Purl
Rows 3-4: Knit

Work rows 1-4 four times total, then rows 3-4 twice more. Repeat.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Depth: 68 cm (26.75 in)

Upwards – aufwärts, so bauen die verwendeten Techniken das leicht asymmetrische Dreieckstuch auf. Die Kombination von einem effektvollen Einstrickmuster in der breiten Seitenborte und klassischen Rippen im Hauptteil erzeugt die Spannung dieses Designs.

Gestrickt wurde das gezeigte Tuch in drei Farben von Madelinetosh Dandelion.

Das Strickmuster kommt ohne Strickschriften aus.
