“Urbaine des Champs” can be loosely translated as “urban country girl”, which is very much what I consider myself. This luxurious wrap is so named because it is perfect for the city life or a weekend jaunt in the country. Perfect for a day picking apples, visiting a local winery or just hanging out.

It is made from Amelie by Illimani Yarn. It is a delightful, soft and lighweight yarn. It is impossible to describe it with words. It’s extremely light weight and beautiful texture is the result of the combination of three fibers using a new technology. Composition: 56% Mulberry Silk, 40% Baby Alpaca, 4% Merino Aran weight,

Materials: 6 skeins of Amelie from Illimani Yarns
Needle: Size 6.5mm (US 8) needle
Guage: 16sts x 20 rows= 4” inches after blocking in seed stitch blocked
Size: 22” X 90” blocked, can be shortened by using 5 skeins and length would be approximately 75”

Note: Urbaine des Champs is also the name of the hippest clothing boutique in Sutton which carries many Quebecois designers. Worth a visit if you are in my neck of the woods.

Urbaine Des Champs est une étole qui porte bien son nom. Elle est luxeuse. Réalisée avec un fil ultra léger en soie et alpaga, il se porte bien autant pour une visite à la campagne pour cueillir de pommes et visiter des vignobles ou bien pour être en ville
Materiaux: 6 écheveaux d’Amelie d’Illimani Yarns
Aiguille: aiguille 6.5mm (US 8)
Échantillon: 16m x 20 Rangs= 10cm en point de riz, bloqué
Grandeur: 56cm X 229cm bloqué, il est possible de le raccourcir en utilisant seulement 5 écheveaux.
